Elections

Elections will be held annually in the spring for all offices and seats. Separate elections will be held for incoming First Years and all empty assembly seats in the fall semester.

Elections Court

This body, also known as the "Elections Commission," is charged with providing expedient resolution to ASU-SGA election-related cases. This commission is in regular session 14 days before and 14 days after the opening and closing of the election period, with the session being extended if the docket is not closed by the end of the elections period. The Commission has existed in some form since 2013. Membership is appointed by the Recruitment and Retention Officer. Appeals from this Commission are to the Rules Committee.

If you are a member of a campaign or candidate for the Presidential elections, DO NOT approach the individuals in the Elections Court. Questions or concerns should be directed toward the Elections Court Chief Presiding Justice. Also note that judical procedures may be found within Chapter Four (4) of the ASU-SGA General Statutes.
